Passing Out-Cum Attestation Parade of 6th Basic Recruitment Training Course was held at Commando Training Centre Lethpora here today. Shri K Vijay Kumar Advisor to Hon’ble Governor who was the Chief Guest on this occasion, inspected the Parade and took the salute.  

 

Four hundred thirty one recruit constables passed out after completing their basic recruit training which started in September last year.

 

Speaking on the occasion Shri K Vijay Kumar complimented Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh, other Police officers and the training staff for organizing the colorful parade. He said that he was happy to be with the trainees and their parents on occasion. He said that standard of Passing Out Parade shows the training conducted by the CTC, Lethpora has been very good.

 

Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh in his address complimented the trainees, their parents and relatives. He said that the trainees not only underwent the training inside the training institution but have also proved themselves while being deployed on law and order duties. He congratulated the parents and other relatives of the pass outs for becoming part of Police Pariwar and welcomed the trainees into the police family. He said that by joining of these pass outs Police Pariwar has become stronger and bigger.

 

While thanking the Chief Guest for gracing the parade, the DGP Shri Dilbag Singh said that in view of the dedicated service and role of the Police, the Government has been kind enough to increase hardship allowance twice and also the ration money allowance. He said that PHQ is looking after the needs of the training Centers for their improvement and there is a lot to be done for their further improvement. He hoped that the proposals submitted to the Govt. will be approved and we will be able to raise standard of the force to the desired levels.

 

DGP thanked the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Police and security forces for maintaining peace, law & order. He said that people’s cooperation has made it possible for the Police and other security forces to ensure peace.

 

Earlier in his welcome address Principal CTC Lethpora Shri Mohammad Arif Rishu thanked PHQ for its cooperation in bringing improvements in the working of the training Centre. He said that during the last year about 2500 trees were planted in the training centre. He also said that the demand of the closing of waste dumping site was also fulfilled. He also gave brief details of the trainees. He said that out of the 431 pass outs 68 trainees are post graduates and 110 are graduates besides 62 pass outs are having computer knowledge.

 

On this occasion Constable Ankaj Pratap of IRP 19th Battalion was declared all-round best. He was given Out of Turn promotion to the rank of Selection Grade Constable. Recruit Constable Sahil Singh was declared 2nd all round best and indoor best and was rewarded with cash prize of rupees 17,500. Recruit Constables Ravi Kumar and Masood Ahmad were adjudged 3rd all round best and outdoor best respectively. In Range Classification recruit constables Deepak Kumar and Mohit Singh were adjudged best trainees. They were also given cash rewards.

 

Parade Commander recruit constable Ashfaq Ahmad and 2nd incharge Parade Commander Mohit Singh were also rewarded.

S. Negi, OSD to Advisor (K) Shri Imtiyaz Ismail, DC Pulwama Dr. Raghav Ranjar, AIsG of PHQ, Cos of Armed/IRP Battalions, Principals of Kashmir based training schools, SSP Awantipora Shri Tahir Saleem, and other Gazetted Officers were present during the Passing Out Parade.
